It was very busy but the food was lovely and the service was very good. The staff were hard to get a hold of is the only negative. Nice place, beautiful and great service . Food is awesome, tasty. We had a lovely evening meal here. We were promptly seated and the service was equally efficient throughout our visit, within a couple of minutes a server had come to take our drinks order. We ordered two mixed BBQ platters. The ribs were beautiful and the dry rub on them along with the whiskey sauce was so flavourful. The wings were tasty if a bit dry but the brisket was melt in the mouth delicious. We’d come back for that alone! Our server Ruth was very friendly and happy and made the experience all the better, she was efficient and helpful too, able to answer questions with ease and make recommendations. Friendly serviceLovely pint and a great locationLittle on the expensive side but worth it I got the pull pork quesadillas and they were amazing! Really good. The service was smooth and fast. Food was amazing, there was a big party of us and they catered for everything. Fabulous place in Kilkenny. The smoked brisket sandwich was absolutely delicious! Great service and atmosphere and a very well stocked whiskey bar. Really lovely place, staff very friendly, food delicious, highly recommend you visit 😀 Outstanding food, the staff are one in a million. Would highly recommend Lynette S.

We just celebrated our engagement party at Paris Texas. I couldn't fault it in anyway.Brian from the start, was excellent, accommodating to all request, eg. Vegan plate and changes to party food menu.Not once did I have to ask for anything as he was there already asking me himself.Amazing staff, food was out in now time and all was cleared very quickly to get people ready for a cake, again it went so smoothly, didn't even notice how quick all was.Brian thank you very much and you were a pleasure.The wonderful bar man, Noah lovely lovely boy. He is a credit to paris texas, amazing assest to your team. Great food, very busy but worth the wait. Everytime we visit Ireland we make sure to visit Kilkenny and eat at Paris Texas. Great food and service and one of the best Whiskey Menus anywhere! Love the food. Love the atmosphere. Really enjoyed this bar. Great service and great food. Catherine L

This place is really cosy and spacious at the same time! Nice variety of items on the menu, New Orleans inspired - I really enjoyed my time here! Chicken wings are EXTRA spicy - we went a hot sauce as we were warned that the flaming sauce is even spicier, and man, they were so right! The chef is defo not shy with paprika here! Friendly service and good prices, I will definitely return!! Brislisnt food good servicev Really nice good service had a valentines meal here very impressed My mother in law was a proper lady. Everyone always thought she was French. When asked where she was from, she would answer “ Paris……..Texas!” 🤣LOVED the name of this bar!! Tea to warm me and whiskey to warm the husband!! Nice staff! First and foremost, the Mixed BBQ Platter is INCREDIBLE!?!It's great how many different seating areas there are, the quality and quantity of food is worth the price.The only suggestion I would make is maybe adding an all day breakfast/grill to the menu, as we were there early once and it wasn't an option even then. My parter and I was in for lunch today. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We had a delicious lunch . Really enjoyed it. The staff was checking all the time to see if everything was OK. We would recommend this restaurant to make a visit in there for food or drinks you won't be disappointed. The manager Padric Rafter is around at all times making sure everything is OK. The food was truly delicious, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The service was outstanding—effortless and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. However, the pints of beer left something to be desired; they weren't the best quality and didn't quite match the exceptional standards set by the food and service. Our History
Following many visits to the southern states of Georgia, the Carolinas and Louisiana we are convinced that there is something special in this food that Irish people will love as much as we do. American Barbecue food is perfect with beer and perfect for casual dining in a bar – and it is fun! Then the French / Cajun influence of New Orleans adds a bit of finesse to ensure there is something for everyone.
To guarantee that you get the ‘real deal’ in American food our American chef has brought his unique recipes to Paris Texas and prepares them with specialist equipment including our wood smoker, broiler and char-grill which have been imported from Texas. Our dishes are prepared to suit all palates. A feature of smoked meats is that they are dry-rubbed or marinated first. As a result some of our dishes are both smokey and spicy but many are not. Some are delicately smoked (like our lamb sirloin) while others are stronger, like our ribs. But pork loves smoke – try the pulled pork to prove it for yourself!
We use all the local suppliers and ingredients that we can but for authenticity some things are imported – ghost peppers for our hottest ‘loco caliente’ sauce being a good example.
An extensive range of beers on tap
Paris Texas has an extensive range of beers on tap and in bottle to meet and challenge your tastes – just as our food does. We also pride ourselves on our range of spirits, particularly whiskeys, rums, gins and vodkas. All these spirits encourage experimentation so we probably have a cocktail with your name on it. Some even use our home-made lemonade. We also offer all our specially selected wines, including prosecco, by the glass as well as bottle.
So if you want to experience ‘real deal’ American southwest cuisine and a genuine Irish welcome we think you have made the right choice. Our team are always on hand to help you with menu choices and suggestions that will suit your mood today.
