Music is a regular feature at Paris Texas. We have Traditional Irish and Ballads Monday to Thursday from 6.30pm running March to October. Live Music every weekend.

Food was great, service was courteous, and they held onto my purse, which I left on my chair. Came back the next day, and it was safe and sound. Huge shoutout for that since it had my passport in it!Jambalaya was OK, but the quesadilla was wonderful and the chili cheese fried were great. Melissa W.

Sehr schönes Restaurant/Bar und freundliches Personal!Essen war auch Top Great selection of food to choose from, loads of seafood but I went for a steak last night. Very tasty. We went back for lunch and was equally impressed. The food was delicious, and the menu offered a great variety of options. We tried the quesadilla, and it was incredibly tasty, with generous portions. We'll definitely be returning to try more of the menu. Definitely would go back here, service is excellent,staff are excellent and one young lad with moustache I thought was excellent with customers explained food very easily and clearly, but not to forget the food omg was absolutely beautiful best ribs I ever had,👍👍👍👍👍👍 Stephen M.

Good evening toasted bread with the pate was a bit to hard might need a dentist after it but very tasty. Was here a few times, loved the Leffe on draught, service each time was good, nice decor. Our group from Texas had been touring Ireland for a week, and came across Paris Texas Bar and Restaurant near the end of our trip in Kilkenny. We were a little worn out on traditional Irish food and were missing BBQ and TexMex from home, so we thought we would give Paris Tx Bar and Restaurant a try for lunch. Being native Texans our expectations were low, but wow, were we surprised! The BBQ pulled pork was amazing, as well as everything else our group of 8 had that day. Staff was very friendly and the place is just beautiful inside - much nicer than anything you would find in the real Paris, Tx! Wish we had more time in Kilkenny and we would have come back that evening to the pub as it looked outstanding as well.Will definitely be back next time through. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a taste of authentic US southwestern cuisine - they do it right. Wonderful place we had nachos, ribs wings and jambalaya and all wereexcellent 👍 I have visited this place a few times now. Each time the service is good and the atmosphere.The food is also very tasty.Looks small from the outside but it just keeps going on the inside.Great place to visit. Antoinette B.

Very Good & Nice Change 👍 after eating Pub Food for 2 weeks. On a coach trip called in for a drink ,friendly staff ,clean toilets nice Irish type of pub that was recommended to us by a lady in a souvenir shop round the corner, did not disappoint . Amazing restaurant and bar setting with good old America vibes with and Irish dab to top it off. Great food look! Keep your belly empty when going here. Brandon S.

Just returned from eating here. I have never seen such friendly, smily and all young staff. Have to give a special mention to our server jack who made us feel so welcome. I will definitely visit again the next time I come to kilkenny. No booking, a group of 8 looked after immediately, service top class, all young staff probably students, all really nice. 👍 Michael Mc E.

Our History
Following many visits to the southern states of Georgia, the Carolinas and Louisiana we are convinced that there is something special in this food that Irish people will love as much as we do. American Barbecue food is perfect with beer and perfect for casual dining in a bar – and it is fun! Then the French / Cajun influence of New Orleans adds a bit of finesse to ensure there is something for everyone.
To guarantee that you get the ‘real deal’ in American food our American chef has brought his unique recipes to Paris Texas and prepares them with specialist equipment including our wood smoker, broiler and char-grill which have been imported from Texas. Our dishes are prepared to suit all palates. A feature of smoked meats is that they are dry-rubbed or marinated first. As a result some of our dishes are both smokey and spicy but many are not. Some are delicately smoked (like our lamb sirloin) while others are stronger, like our ribs. But pork loves smoke – try the pulled pork to prove it for yourself!
We use all the local suppliers and ingredients that we can but for authenticity some things are imported – ghost peppers for our hottest ‘loco caliente’ sauce being a good example.
An extensive range of beers on tap
Paris Texas has an extensive range of beers on tap and in bottle to meet and challenge your tastes – just as our food does. We also pride ourselves on our range of spirits, particularly whiskeys, rums, gins and vodkas. All these spirits encourage experimentation so we probably have a cocktail with your name on it. Some even use our home-made lemonade. We also offer all our specially selected wines, including prosecco, by the glass as well as bottle.
